TWO SCREENPLAYS FOR EXPERIMENTAL, ‘APRÉS GARDE’ FILMS
There seems to be no agreement of what the term ‘Aprés-Garde’ actually means, if it means anything at all, let alone what constitutes an ‘Aprés-Garde’ film. However, I enjoy the descriptions of the numerous bizarre experimental films of ‘James O. Incandenza’ to be found in ‘Infinite Jest’, the gigantic cult novel of David Foster Wallace, and these movies are defined in the book as being of the ‘Aprés-Garde’.
