ANOTHER MID-SEVENTIES JUDGE

What on earth was this one all about? I remember going to a lot of trouble to get the tropical kit. On reflection, I think it might have been connected with a last desperate attempt I made to make a commercial single. Instead of one of my own numbers, I reasoned, I'll do a cover version. I recorded a rather Cockney Rebel-ish arrangement of a lovely old show-tune by Kurt Weil, 'September Song', with all the usual suspects roped-in to help, but the fish still weren't biting for me.
