This was the premiere of a 'cosmic cantata' by Michael Brand, for Wind Band, Choir and Narrator, at Warwick University Butterworth Hall on 27/09/1992. This cantata, for quite large forces as you can see, was composed to my libretto about the first space probe to leave the solar system. I think it's a piece to be proud of, and Michael's orchestral music is exciting and accessible. The work received an even grander 3rd performance in 1996 at Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
